It has been a busy few weeks and now we have a week at home to catch up on some admin. Here is a quick resume of what we have been up to. In May we ran a Milebuilder from Ardrossan to Oban taking in the Mull of Kintyre West Loch Tarbert (Jura), Iona, Staffa, Gomtra, Coll and Tobermory before arriving in Oban. We then took part in the Scottish Islands 3 Peaks Race, (we will be entered again next year). We then delivered the boat back up to Badachro which involved another rounding the Mull of Kintyre, that makes to four roundings so far this season.
In June we ran Day Skipper and Competent Crew RYA courses and Tom went down to the Clyde to spend a week working with the Ellen McArthur Cancer Trust.
In July we are off to St KIlda on a weeks skippered cruise and then some more RYA courses to finish the month off. We are seeing whales and dolphins regularly now and hopefully our trip to St Kilda will provide some spectacular views of the seabirds as well as the citaceans.
We still have some spaces on RYA courses and on our Outer Hebrides Cruise in August so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are interested.
We have seen a lot of wildlife so far this season, here is a short video of some highlights from the Dolphins that abound in the Minch, we saw these on an afternoon RIB trip down to Diabeg (Loch Torridon) for lunch last weekend.
