A Unique Sailing Experience

St Kilda and/or Outer Hebrides Cruise

7th to 13th July 2019

Double cabin forward (2 persons sharing)  £800 per person  – booked

Double cabin aft  (2 persons sharing)  £800 per person  – booked

On this cruise the boat will be catered  we will however plan to eat ashore on two evenings, these meals are not included in the cost.

A cruise starting and ending in Badachro – A trip out to the iconic Island of Saint Kilda, the furthest west outpost of the British Isles with its history and abundant bird life.  Leaving from Badachro ideally we would head West towards the Outer Hebrides taking in the Shiant Islands before heading out to the Atlantic through the Sound of Harris.  A stop in either Leverburgh or the Isle of Taransay may be necessary before pointing the boat for St Kilda.

This is of course given the weather conditions for this to be viable, about 1 in 3 attempts to sail to St Kilda in a specific time window fail.  This itinerary is completely weather dependent however the aim will be to get to St Kilda and anchor in Village Bay allowing you to get ashore and explore the island.  Failing that the intention would be to cruise the East Coast of the Outer Hebrides taking in some of the beautiful secluded anchorages available as we head North up the coast of Harris or South along the coast of the Uist’s, we also have the option to circumnavigate Skye. Outer Hebrides Cruise

4th to 13th August 2019

Double cabin forward  (2 persons sharing)  £1000 per person  – available

Double cabin aft  (2 persons sharing)  £1000 per person  – available

On this cruise the boat will be catered although we will plan to eat ashore on three evenings, these meals are not included in the cost.

A cruise starting and ending in Badachro – ranging North as far North as Stornoway and South to Mingulay. If the weather allows we will head to the west Coast of the Hebrides as well where we have the opportunity to visit places like Loch Roag,  Taransay and the Monach Isles.  Once again the itinerary will be weather dependent but you can be assured of some fantastic scenery, wildlife and food. Milebuilders

These trips are aimed at those wishing to gain mileage in order to sit the Coastal or Offshore Yachtmaster exam but who do not have the pre-requisite miles to do so.  They are also relevant to those just wishing to experience passage making on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.  The trips will also involve informal tuition on any area of the RYA syllabus that participants may wish to focus. The dates for these can be found here (opens in a new window).

We will take part in the SIPR race again this year. Tom has skippered our boats in this race for the last 5 years.

A trip that tests the resilience of those involved, whether part of the sailing team ensuring we get round the course as quickly and safely as possible or in the running team conquering mountains on Mull, Jura and Arran in super quick time.  You join the boat on 16th May in Oban for familiarisation and training with the race starting on 18th May in Oban and finishing in Troon as soon as we can get there but probably by 20th May.
